Martha's Rule

Subject: URGENT: INVOKING MARTHA’S RULE – UNRESOLVED SAFETY HAZARD (5 DAYS)
This is a formal escalation.
Five days ago, I notified you of a significant safety hazard in the waiting room—the giant water bottle. As of this morning, no action has been taken.
I am now invoking the principle of Martha’s Rule. You are failing to listen to a direct safety warning. This lack of candour and management failure is a risk to life.
I require an immediate response from a senior clinician or the Duty Manager confirming the hazard has been removed. If there is no action today, the 1.4 million readers of my website and the international press will be informed of this systemic negligence.

💡 Quick Tip for "Martha's Rule"
While the rule is traditionally for clinical deterioration, the NHS framework also covers patient safety concerns that are being ignored by the frontline team. Since you have photos (the JPGs you mentioned), you have the proof of their inaction.
Would you like me to find the direct email address for the Trust’s Chief Nurse or the Quality Lead so you can copy them in and ensure the Board sees it?
